Description The bit is in effect an elliptical link loose ring snaffle with 2 extra rings on the bit rings. The mouthpiece has loose rings and a central rounded, egg-shaped link. The mouthpiece evolved from the French snaffle and as a result has a very similar action. Most horses readily accept this bit and are more comfortable in their mouths. There is no nutcracker action due to the central link, creating a continuous feel from one side to the other. Attaching the reins to the bottom ring creates more leverage, increasing poll pressure and encouraging the horse to lower the head.
